Nestled in the heart of East Harlem, The Poet's Den Gallery and Theater have established a cultural center for the East Harlem community and beyond to gather and participate in arts enjoyment.
The gallery offers local, national and international artist opportunities to showcase their work. The Poet's Den is a major institution contributing to the ever-changing landscape of the emerging East Harlem neighborhood.
The gallery space is available for any and all events. With 2,000 square feet of space, clients have the freedom to transform the open space into any event desired. The space is adorned by art on the walls from exhibiting artists. To be immersed in art gives your event an air of sophistication unattainable elsewhere.
Gallery Capacity: Maximum 70 People
The Poet’s Den Gallery is a centrally located NYC event space available for exclusive rentals throughout the year.
The venue stretches into a theater space with an exclusive entrance. The gallery has wooden floorboards, a totally functional kitchen, and large bathroom. We provide you with catering tables, cocktail tables, up to 55 chairs, an illuminated bar for your beverages and sound system.
The art gallery can be tailored to suit any type of function from product launches and art exhibitions to private parties and film screening. Our experienced onsite events team will dedicate themselves to the success of any event.

Theater Capacity: 100 stationary seats (can fit 20-30 more foldable chairs)
The vintage furniture and decor juxtapose a state-of-the-art sound and lighting system to harmonize the theater's old-world-style and charm. This multi-sensory environment is designed to delight audiences with a pleasing and fulfilling entertainment experience.
Many theater performances, readings, and poetic expressions have received public acclaim from discerning audiences and media. As well as movies, shorts, documentaries that have also been screened for public and private audiences. This is the birthplace of the East Harlem International Film Festival presented by the East Harlem Film Society.
The two spaces provide a complete entertainment experience where audiences delight from the live shows or movies offered and then retire to the gallery space for fellowship/networking, exhibit displays and receptions.
