Christopher Bell - East Harlem Historian. Raised and schooled in East Harlem. Chris holds a Master's Degree in History from City College and a Bachelor's of Science/ minor in Government from John Jay College.
He has written three books on East Harlem. His first two books: Images of America: East Harlem and East Harlem Revisited were published by Arcadia publishing in 2003 and 2010 respectively. Both are pictorial history books of the East Harlem neighborhood.
His latest book, East Harlem Remembered: Community and Diversity is an oral history of East Harlem. It was published by McFarland Publishing in 2013. His first book: Scapegoats: Baseballers was also published by McFarland in 2002. In addition to his writing, Chris has worked for the New York City Council and New York State Assembly. Finally, he interned at the William J. Clinton Foundation.
